What is Cradler Router?

Cradler Router is a model gateway: one API key that reaches Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, and image generation through compatible endpoints. You point your AI coding tool at Router instead of each provider, pay in your own currency, and get access at rates well below first-party pricing.

Which agents and tools does it work with?

Anything that speaks the Anthropic, OpenAI, or Gemini API. That includes Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex (OpenAI Responses), and Gemini CLI (native Gemini), plus SDKs and other tools built on those protocols — you only change the base URL and key.

Which models are available?

Claude (Opus, Sonnet, Haiku, Fable), the GPT-5 series including fast tiers, Gemini 3.x, DeepSeek V4, Grok 4.6, and the gpt-image-2 image model. The authoritative live list is always GET /v1/models for your key — read that rather than hard-coding a name.

How much cheaper is it?

It depends on the vendor: GPT models run up to 87% below list price, every Claude model (Opus included) is about 61% off, and Gemini around 22%. Confirm current rates on the pricing page and via /v1/models.

Do tool use, prompt caching, and streaming still work?

Yes. Router passes the native protocols through, so agent tool loops, prompt caching (for Claude), and streaming all work. We validate these end to end against real agents. One rule: call Claude over the Anthropic protocol, not the OpenAI-compatible one, or you lose caching and thinking and pay more.

How does Router relate to Cradler's database?

They are two features of one Cradler account. Router gives you cheaper model access; the same account gives the app you're building a managed PostgreSQL database and file storage through a typed SDK — no SQL, no migrations. One signup, one bill.

How do I pay?

Top up your account balance by card (Alipay and WeChat Pay are coming soon), then create an API key. Usage draws down the balance; you can check your usage and remaining balance from the dashboard.
